Jason Wagg

National General Manager – AMS (Axis Maintenance Services) and ACS (Axis Consulting Services)

Jason joined the Axis Group in 2013 as the Group Commercial Manager and an Executive Board Member.

Jason has over 20 years experience in the Building Services Industry.

He began his career in 1992 as a Civil Engineer working for a Canberra, ACT based civil/building contractor.

He has owned and operated his own business and has held Senior Management Positions within a Global USA Incorporated Mechanical Manufacturing/Services Company and prior to joining the Axis Group held the position of Managing Director – Africa.

Anthony Reid

Anthony joined Axis Plumbing ACT in 2009 as a Welding Technician. In 2010 Anthony was promoted to Project Manager – ACT and in 2014 accepted the position of NSW Services Manager.

Anthony has 15 years’ experience within the construction industry and prior to joining Axis Services Group spent 6 years in the Fabrication industry and completed is Cert IV Light Fabrication and Engineering.

Sarah Fritchley

Sarah started with Axis Maintenance Services in 2015 as a National Service Administrator and was promoted to National Office Manager in 2017. Sarah works within our Sydney office where she oversees the ins and outs of our National Service Team. She has been working in the Service and Maintenance industry for 9 yrs and has attributed to the implementation and management of our service delivery program AroFlo, which provides Live Job Data allowing us to provide our clients with up to date information on their jobs.

Tim Plimmer

Tim Joined Axis Maintenance Services Queensland in 2015.

Tim has always been around the Plumbing industry, growing up the son of a Plumber in Wellington New Zealand he followed in his Dad’s footsteps and  started his Training in the as an apprentice Plumber, Gasfitter and Drainlayer in 1998. During all these years in the industry he has gain plenty of experience and worked on a wide range of projects and aspects of the industry and had the opportunity to work in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Through his Plumbing knowledge, relationships built and experience in the delivery of Facilities Maintenance to different sectors allows our team to effectively provide a professional and efficient service to Axis Maintenance Services Clients throughout Queensland.

Adam Wright

Adam was appointed General Manager of Axis Plumbing in 2012.

Adam joined the Axis Group in 2008 as the Operations Manager of Axis Plumbing QLD, in 2010 Adam was appointed as the General Manager of Axis Plumbing WA.

Adam has more than 25 years experience in the plumbing industry and is a skilled estimator, manager and problem-solver.

Adam’s experience spans commercial and civil hydraulics, and more recently the construction of the Ichthys on-shore LNG facility in Darwin, NT.

South Coast Correctional Centre

The South Coast Correctional Centre at Nowra has been selected for expansion as part of the NSW Government’s $3.8 billion Prison Bed Capacity Program.

The expansion will see the following additions and alterations:

  • 160 maximum-security beds;
  • 200 minimum-security beds;
  • Conversion of an existing 200 minimum-security beds to medium-security;
  • Refurbishment and extensions to existing buildings, including visits area, clinic, AVL suites, car park and reception area; and
  • New industries building, High Intensity Program Unit (HIPU) and staff amenities building.

Scope of Work:

Hydraulic Services: In ground Sanitary Drainage, Trade Waste and Storm Water System. Elevated Sanitary, Trade Waste and Storm Water System. Potable, Non- potable, Hot and Warm Water System, Gas System, Fit off and testing and Commissioning. Axis Plumbing ACT was engaged to undertake and deliver the Design and Construction of the project.

ANU Union Court Redevelopment

The revitalisation of Union Court and University Avenue stage 1 will combine the best elements of existing campus life and bring a new learning, cultural, physical and social experience to us in a village setting. The revitalised precinct will feature:

  • State-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities
  • Environmentally-sustainable student accommodation
  • New health and recreational facilities, including a 25-metre pool

Campbell’s Store Redevelopment – The Rocks

Campbell’s Store, located at the Rocks, is a historical site which is being restored to attract visitors. Situated on the Harbor, Campbell’s Store will transform into a shopping precinct with restaurants, cafes and bars. Axis Services will complete the Hydraulic Services for all levels of the Campbell’s Store, with the expected completion date of the overall project being in 2018.

Aveo Gasworks

Aveo is an aged facility consisting of

West Connex M4 East

The M4 Motorway, connecting the Western Suburbs to the surrounding city suburbs, is currently underway, extending the tunnels between Homebush, Concord and Haberfield. The extension will create more space on the motorway and make travel more efficient for those who have previously used this motorway, as well as for those who continue to use it. With 6.5km of underground and above ground work, the project is expected to reach completion in 2020.

Adina Hotel

 

The Adina apartment Hotel is a refurbishment of an old existing heritage listed building. previously a bank : in the heart of Brisbane city.

This project entailed a full refurbishment of the existing 10 levels and an addition of another 4 new levels to total 220 studio and apartment rooms, Indoor Pool, Gymnasium. Restaurants and Bars.

Christian De Bakker

Christian joined Axis Plumbing NSW Group in 2007 as an Estimator. In 2009 Christian was promoted to Project Manager for Small Works and has since progressed to State Manger within Small Works in 2012.

Christian has spent the last 20 years in construction in various rolls across multiple projects within NSW and QLD in this time in commercial refurbishment and new build projects.

Andre Oosthuyzen

General Manager Axis Plumbing NZ

Andre joined Axis Plumbing NZ as General Manager in 2017.
Andre has 25 year experience within the construction industry focusing on Project Management within the HVAC and mechanical markets.

Inpex, Ichthys Onshore LNG Facilities Project – TMP-1 (D&C)

Axis Plumbing NT on behalf of Leighton Contractors undertook the Design and construct of the TMP-1 Project.
This included:

Sewer Rising Mains:
Supply & installation of big bore HDPE throughout the site with 14 Pump Stations connecting to the WWTP.

Sewer Outfall:
Supply & installation of 160mm HDPE PN20 in ground from the WWTP. Once it reaches the shoreline the pipe work is supported on specially design concrete anchor blokes to cater for the climate. This then dischargers into the Harbour (600mtrs offshore) through specially designed diffuser system.

Domestic water:
Supply & installation of small to big bore HDPE throughout the site. All relevant valves, tanks with Altitude valves, Containerized UV & VSD pumps.

Fire Service.
Supply & installation of big bore HDPE PN20 throughout the Contractors area & the warehouse. Including Hydrants & FHR, Fire storage tanks, and Containerized Electric/Diesel fire pumps.

Sanitary Sewer:
Supply & installation of sanitary stacks to all ablution/contractors areas around site.

Clem Morfuni

Clem founded the Axis Group in 1994 in Sydney NSW, Australia.

Clem started his career in the construction industry as an apprentice plumber in 1986. During his career he has been involved in all aspects of the plumbing & construction industry, he has held positions from Plumber to Project Manager to General Manager was able to utilise all of this experience to start and continue to grow the business.

His dedication, drive and motivation has seen the business expand and grow throughout Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and New York City – USA.

Patrick O’Brien

Group Estimating Manager

Patrick joined the Axis Group in 2008 as the Group Estimating Manager.

Patrick is involved in all large scale tenders & interacts with the senior management group as well as Regional General and Project Managers.

Patrick started his career in the construction industry as an apprentice plumber in 1989. Patrick is a licensed plumber Drainer and Gas Fitter. During his 26 year career, Patrick has been involved in all aspects of the plumbing & construction industry, he has held positions from plumber to project manager to general manager and is able to utilise all of this experience in his current role as Group Estimating Manager.

Michelle Stanford

Group HR Manager

Michelle joined the Axis Group in 2007 as the Group HR Manager.

Michelle has over 14 years experience in Human Resource Management including payroll and workers compensation.  Michelle actively works with our Group EHS Manager as the Return to Work Coordinator in NSW.

Frank O’Dowd

General Manager – Axis Plumbing WA

Frank joined Axis Services Group WA in 2012 as a Plumbing Supervisor.

In 2014 Frank was promoted to the position of Construction Project Manager and in this role, he has overseen and successfully delivered some or Western Australia’s most iconic tier one construction projects.

In 2021 Frank was appointed General Manager – WA and currently holds this position.

With over 24 years’ experience in Construction & Project Management, Frank brings a wealth of technical and industry knowledge to the business

Ennio Alberici, Axis Plumbing

Ennio Alberici

Group Financial Officer/Executive Board Member

Ennio joined the Axis Services Group in 2024 as the Group Chief Financial Officer and an Executive Board Member.

Ennio has 40 years’ experience in Finance and accounting. He has a fellowship in CPA Australia and has a background of working in companies such as IBM, Optus, NBN Co & Prosegur Australia before joining the Axis Group.

George Spyropoulos

Group General Manager

George joined the Axis Group in 1996, beginning a strong business association with Clem Morfuni and this proved to be the nucleus from which the business has been able to expand and grow throughout Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and New York City – USA.

George has over 25 years of experience in the Building Services Industry.

George started his career in the construction industry as an apprentice plumber in 1988. George is a Licensed Plumber Drainer and Gas Fitter. During his career he has been involved in all aspects of the plumbing & construction industry, he has held positions from Plumber to Project Manager to General Manager and is able to utilise all of this experience in his current role as Group General Manager.

Steve Marino

President – Axis Mechanical of New York

Steve joined Axis Group in April of 2014 and has spear headed Axis entry into the NYC Mechanical market.

Steve is an experienced President/General Manager who has overseen Sales, Service and Installation divisions of leading Mechanical companies and Manufacturers in the NYC Metropolitan Area.

His leadership and experience in both Office and Field management has lead Axis to a seamless entry into the NYC Mechanical market.

Steve Young

Operations Manager – Axis Services VIC

Steve joined Axis Plumbing in 2013 as the General Manager of Axis Services VIC.
Steve commenced in the construction industry in 1987 and is a qualified plumber. During his career Steve has held various positions including owning and operating a commercial hydraulics business for a period of 9 years.

Robert Elliott

General Manager – Axis Plumbing NSW Group

Robert joined Axis Plumbing NSW Group in 2003 as a Project Manager. In 2007 Robert was promoted to Operations Manager – NSW and in 2009 accepted the position of General Manager – NSW.

Robert has 28 years experience within the construction industry and prior to joining Axis Plumbing NSW Group spent 7 years in design and 6 years in project management.

Single Leap II RMC & ADFA ACT Defence Housing Project

Axis Plumbing on Behalf of  Watpac undertook the hydraulic services on the Single leap II defence housing project, the project consisted  of 7 precinct Buildings on  ADFA consisting of 80 Units and 33 Units over 2 precinct  Buildings

HMAS Harman Mechanical piping

Axis Plumbing on Behalf of  fredon Air pty ltd  undertook mechanical piping works on the HMAS Harman  project  ACT . The mechanical piping of these works included, New Plant room, Data Hall cooling , chilled water storage tank pipework

The project was completed in a very short time frame with regards to the amount and size of services installed. The overall duration just under 9 months in which time Axis installed in excess of 3.5 kilometres of pipe ranging in size from 15mm diameter up to 350mm diameter and peaking at a total labour force of 55 men. The project was unconventional in its sequencing which placed pressure on time frames and meant that prefabrication was pivotal to the delivery and success of the installation.
