Canberra Hospital Expansion Project
The Canberra Hospital Expansion is the largest health care infrastructure project ever undertaken by the ACT Government.
It includes more operating rooms, more treatment spaces and more intensive care beds.
There also are multiple outdoor spaces, courtyards and improved public facilities to make the hospital experience easier for staff, patients, their carers and families, as well as:
- A new Emergency Department with 147 spaces
- New and improved intensive care facilities 22 operating theatres
- Dedicated paediatric beds and spaces for children within the new emergency department and intensive care unit
- 156 inpatient beds
Axis Plumbing ACT delivered the hydraulic services for the project including all potable and non potable water services, storage tanks, pumps, fire services and drainage.
